BRIDEWELL CHOOSES HJC

December 13th, 2018.

Oxford Racing Ducati will contest the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship with the brand new 2019 Ducati Panigale V4R ridden by Tommy Bridewell who will use the premium HJC helmet brand.

To check out his new HJC helmet for fit, Tommy visited Oxford Products at its Witney-based HQ this week and enjoyed a tour of the 100,000 square feet facility.

Tommy explained: "I was impressed with the set-up at Oxford and am looking forward to starting this new chapter of my racing career with a new bike, new helmet and a new title sponsor. I gelled with the team when I swapped rides for the second half of the championship last year, and feel confident that with all the right people and kit in place, I will be competing for a Showdown place in 2019."

Oxford is a company that already has a rich motorcycle racing history dating back to the 70s with riders such as Robert Dunlop, Steve Hislop, Jim Moodie and Jeremy McWilliams, and has supported the discipline for many years.

In 2018, Oxford had a supporting role in bringing the championship to JG Speedfit Kawasaki and Leon Haslam, so the time is right to step up to title sponsorship with a new team: Oxford Racing Ducati.

Wiltshire born Bridwell has been competing in or around the British Superbike Championship since 2005 where he was the runner-up in the Yamaha R6 cup. In 2018, swapping to the Moto Rapido Ducati in the Superbike class for the second half of the season, he came to the fore, visiting the podium four times and ending the season in 7th place.
