2019 marks a special year for R&G, the world leader in damage protection products, as the Hampshire-based company celebrates 20 years in business. To mark the anniversary, the brand will be hosting a number of events during the year, including an exclusive trackday (TBA), as well as some special celebrations at selected rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Since launching in 1999, R&G has continuously developed and pioneered crash protection for motorcycles in the U.K and beyond. Expanding year on year, R&G signed its first international distributor in 2002 and by 2004 turnover had reached £1M. Now in its 21st year of business, the company has reached a 70:30 export/domestic sales ratio, is distributed in 56 countries and has an annual turnover approaching £8M.

Alongside unveiling crash protection products for the latest motorcycles as they hit the market, in 2003 R&G widened its product range by introducing styling accessories like its hugely popular Tail Tidy. Since then, the Company has led the way in the damage protection market, such as introducing ‘Aero’ style Crash Protectors and becoming the world’s first insurance-approved motorcycle protection. R&G has also won numerous industry awards from the likes of Motorcycle Trader and British Dealer News.

R&G crash protection is also used in race paddocks around the world and in 2014, it became an Official Supplier to the British Superbike Championship (and later Official Crash Protection Supplier). Keen to promote the next big names, each year it rewards those riders making their debut in their given class via the R&G Rookies’ Trophy.

Alongside its numerous own-branded products, R&G is also a distributor for major brands including Barkbusters, BMC Air Filters, CLICKnRIDE, Denali, KAOKO Throttle Stabilizers, RDMoto, Red Dynamic, Scorpion Exhausts, Shocktube®, WD-40 and Wild Ass Seat Cushions.

To celebrate turning 20, R&G is hosting a number of events throughout 2019, including running another trackday in association with No Limits and various special events at selected rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. More details of these will be unveiled shortly.
