Charles and Greg Hewitt, chairman and managing director of Rock Oil, are currently visiting export partners in the Far East. The three-week trip will see them visit new customers in China, South Korea, and Indonesia, as well as established customers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia.

The diverse nature of the company’s Far Eastern customer base and its lubrication requirements, has seen Hewitt Snr and Jnr take in a Pagani supercar facility in Taiwan one day and a power plant in Sumatra two days later. “Such customer visits are vital if the brand is to continue to flourish and grow and deliver on client expectation,” said Greg. “UK manufacturing is in high demand and with the increased global awareness of the Rock Oil brand this region is extremely important to the company’s expansion plans. This part of the world has been especially receptive to our involvement with the British Superbike series and it’s no exaggeration to say that many global customers have taken the Rock brand due to its long and successful involvement with motorcycle motorsport.”

As Rock prepares for the opening of its new and purpose-built R&D facility and headquarters in the spring, it reports that all sectors of its business have seen growth, it is the motorcycle division which continues to fly the flag for the brand both in the UK and abroad and remains a vital component of the company.
