SHOULD THE TT BE BANNED?

July 26th, 2017.

In the July/August issue of Motorcycle Trader, columnist Mark Williams, the founding editor of Bike Magazine, airs his thoughts on the annual Isle of Man TT races.

His view may not be a popular one as he argues that, after three riders are killed at this year’s event, it is perversely dangerous, and should be consigned to history; “I don’t watch the TT for the same reason I don’t go to bullfights in Spain. Spectators go for the perverse thrill of seeing living beings maimed and killed. It’s the same urge that drives rubbernecking at crashes.”
