VETS GARAGE - CHARITY WITH A DIFFERENCE

October 17th, 2019.

The Veterans' Garage goes from strength to strength with the expansion of its facility in Eccles, Greater Manchester.

The 'Vets' is a registered charity organisation that strives towards the rehabilitation and retraining of British military veterans through automotive projects and expert counselling. One of the features of the VG is that it has its own motorcycle brand called Veterans Garage Motorcycles (VGM) which sells bikes constructed by military veterans as part of their therapy and training as well as raising money for the main charity.

There’s a ‘Bike Night’ on every Monday evening where bikers meet for dinner and drinks at the Veterans’ Garage lounge before going outside to the huge car park area to check out each other’s bikes and ‘chew the fat’.

At the beginning of the year VGM brought in the parts to make the VGM Apache (pictured), a dual-sports motorcycle with a ‘military’ look and now, after a few teething problems, it’s looking forward to expanding its range.

"We are now ready to bring in four new models including a commuter scooter, a great-looking scrambler and a cool street bike," said VGM ambadassor David McMullan. "What we need to do is to facilitate room in our warehouse to make way for additional products and therefore we are selling off the remaining Apache models at reduced prices for those in the UK motorcycle trade."
