The exhilarating final of the 2018 Power Maxed Arenacross Tour held at The SSE Arena, Wembley last weekend, again demonstrated just why it is one of the most entertaining and fastest growing indoor motorcycle championships in Europe.

A massive turnout for the evening event, as well as hundreds forking out an additional £20 for the increasingly-popular pre-show track walks, set the tone for the evening with thousands of fans eager to soak up everything AX had to throw at them. The antics of the AX Freestyle crew kept the carnival atmosphere bubbling along in the arena, which was a welcome distraction from the tension in the paddock across all classes from the battling seven-year-old youngsters, right up to the seasoned Pros.

Suzuki riders in the form of Frenchmen Cedric Soubeyras (Team FRO Systems) and Thomas Ramette (SR75 World Suzuki), took the top two positions. The Buildbase Honda – also French pairing of Charles Lefrancois and Fabien Izoird were next, and their series-long consistency was enough to hoist multi World and British MX champ Dave Thorpe’s team to the top of the Team Championship stakes. Whilst there were six French riders in the top ten, the international flavour of the Tour was evident with an Australian, Portuguese and two Brits also in the mix.

The AX team is now busily planning its next Tour with a couple of international events set to be staged later in the year.
