How does your motorcycle workshop work? General maintenance, scheduled servicing, repairs, modifications? Why not add an MOT Bay?

Many motorcycle workshops may be missing out on this potential source of revenue. Not only would it add to the service offering of your workshop, it can introduce remedial work to pass a vehicle, and may encourage the customer to use you for other services too.

With a minimum requirement of just 3.2 x 4.6 metres, plus a couple of other essentials such as; good access, bike parking, a MOT viewing area (either live or screen)…could mean your workshop benefits from another vital revenue stream.

- A company with the expertise and experience to supply and install the equipment.

- Approved MOT Equipment that is of quality design and manufacture, preferably fully supported and warrantied

- A good contractor to affect the groundworks needed for the roller brake tester

- Training for your examiner and centre manager

- Regular calibration of equipment (6 monthly)

Once you have a ‘Approval in Principal’ from the DVSA you will need to undertake the groundwork for the Roller Brake Tester and install an independent power supply with isolator switch and fuse on the circuit board.

- HL5000 – Headlight beam tester (Rail mounted)

- MOTAP – MOT Ancillary Pack (Signs, Noticeboard, MOT tools on designated board, pressure gauge etc.)

- Minimum testing area of 3.2 x 4.6m

-   Access to testing area of min. 2.3m wide and 2.1 m high

-   Minimum six months lease (if applicable)
