DUNLOP GEOMAX MX54 UPGRADED

June 18th, 2-026.

Dunlop has further advanced its championship-winning Geomax motocross range with the introduction of Geomax MX54, an intermediate-hard MX tyre with an expanded applicable terrain range and an elevated performance package compared to its predecessor.

Designed to deliver long-lasting performance for all rider levels, from amateur to expert, outstanding grip and durability are at the forefront of the Geomax MX54’s design. It is the successor to Geomax MX53, part of the range of tyres that are the choice of some top riders in series like the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP).

The technological advancements delivered with Geomax MX54 allow it to better bridge the gap between the now discontinued hard terrain Geomax MX71 and the soft-medium terrain Geomax MX34, making the Geomax range, which also includes the popular MX14 sand/mud tire, more comprehensive and at the same time easier to use than ever before.

Expertly crafted, tested by champions and geared for every skill level
The new tyre boasts improvements on both front and rear, with new designs to offer a significant increase in terrain coverage and performance on a wider variety of surfaces. A revised block layout on the front provides increased grip on softer terrain, while the block sizes have been enlarged to improve block rigidity and resilience.

On the rear, the number of blocks has reduced to allow for more continuous space between block rows, securing better grip on softer terrain to deliver predictable traction across a wider range of conditions than its previous iteration. The block layout draws on Geomax MX34 to improve ground contact feel and predictability under load.

“The new Dunlop Geomax MX54 features advancements that allow it to be much more versatile than MX53,” explains Roberto Finetti, Marketing Manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe. “We have worked closely with top MXGP teams to deliver improved grip across all terrain for riders of all levels. With the broadened scope of MX54, the Geomax range is our strongest and most versatile motocross range yet, drawing on our innovations from winning in top professional championships.”

Dunlop Geomax MX tyres consistently deliver results on the track, having already secured two MX2 Grand Prix wins this year, following on from a record-breaking 2025 season that included Dunlop rider Romain Febvre winning the World Championship. Geomax MX54 tyres are available now in 17 sizes, covering 10, 12, 14,17,19 and 21-inch front fitments and 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19-inch rear fitments.
