Dunlop rider Courtney Duncan won her fourth WMX championship in five years on Sunday, after taking victory at the MXGP of Türkiye.

Dunlop has now been the tyre of choice for ten of the last twelve WMX champions, including Duncan, who won with Kawasaki in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023 and Italian racer Kiara Fontanesi, who was champion in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Just like in the top MXGP class, and the MX2 category for rising stars, Dunlop’s WMX partner teams have access to a range of Dunlop Geomax motocross tyres. These include Dunlop's newest innovation Geomax MX34, a tyre designed for motocross riders of all levels to use on a variety of tracks, which sits in the range between the sand and mud-orientated Geomax MX14 and the intermediate to hardpack-focused Geomax MX53.

Duncan, 27, from Palmerston in the Otaga district of the South Island of New Zealand, won four of the six rounds in the WMX season, taking the world championship on Sunday equipped with Dunlop Geomax front and rear tyres. Additionally, fellow Dunlop rider and Kawasaki teammate Lotte Van Drunen took one victory in her rookie season and finished third in the championship, meaning Dunlop took victory at five of the six WMX rounds this year and had two riders in the top three of the world championship standings.

In Turkey, Dunlop’s success extended further with Romain Febvre claiming victory in the first MXGP race, and Kevin Horgmo emerging victorious in the second MX2 race. Furthermore, Roan Van De Moosdijk secured his fourth holeshot award of the season during the second MX2 race.

While the WMX season has come to an end, the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP) campaign is still in full swing. With two rounds left, Dunlop rider Romain Febvre is second in the championship standings, riding for Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP.
