FANTIC PLAN FOR NEW MODELS AND CONTINUED MARKET GROWTH IN 2023

February 14th, 2023.

The new-for-2023 Fantic Caballero Scrambler 700 and soon-to-be-launched Fantic XE300 enduro models were the headline news at the recent dealer conference hosted by Fantic UK at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. But the real news was the continued success of the entire model line-up, on road and track, now backed up by a strengthened package of support for UK dealers.

Fantic is undoubtedly on an expansionist programme; following the recent industrial cooperation with Yamaha and the acquisition of the Minarelli engine development and assembly plant, the Italian brand is bringing a swathe of new models to market. These strategic moves have also brought this historic brand back to a high-end positioning in the world of off-road competition.

Fantic enjoyed a successful 2022 racing season that turned in two enduro world championship titles, plus a share of the British victories in the ISDE (in the World and Female classes) – all with British riders, namely Harry Edmondson, Jane Daniels and Jed Etchells. Added to this, Fantic captured the European 125MX title with Dutchman Cas Valk plus a European MX GP win and podium finishes to finish third in the EMX250 championship with Norwegian Cornelius Toendel – all proving just how competitive Fantic’s new range of XX and XE competition models are. And for 2023 Fantic is not only again competing in the world and European off-road championships, and world rallying, but also MotoGP in the Moto2 category.

Here in the UK, Fantic UK is committed to turning track successes into showroom sales. As well as having landed a good supply of the current competition and road models – with the Scrambler 700 and XE300 to come – there’s also a substantial commitment to the dealers with a new corporate identity programme for showrooms and bespoke retail finance offering that will bring custom-tailored HP and PCP purchase options.

Dean Clements, Director of ClementsMoto / Fantic UK: “It was excellent to see such a good turnout and great engagement from the Fantic dealer network. Dealer feedback has been very positive and we shall certainly look to organise more dealer events in the future. We have an exciting year ahead with both the Caballero Scrambler 700 and the XE300 Enduro due in the coming months. We believe dealers are now set for a positive year with Fantic.”

The dealers, too, were impressed with Fantic’s direction and the local support.

Matin Hatfield, Hatfields of Crowthorne: “It was great to meet up with the guys from ClementsMoto and Fantic at the Fantic dealer conference in Birmingham. I was pleased to be informed of new and exciting product that will soon be with us. We were also reminded of Fantic's considerable history and how the brand has developed with a nod to the past. 2023 is looking to be an exciting year with new models, a refreshed point of sale package and finance offering.

Steve Dibbs, Poole Moto: “I really appreciated the opportunity to attend the Fantic Dealer Conference at the National Motorcycle Museum, it was well worth the time out of the dealership. It was great to hear the history of this iconic brand and to reminisce about my youth, from 50 years ago, watching all the Fantic trials bikes compete on Junior Kick Start. This programme contributed to my interest in motorcycles which later developed into a career. Moving forward to 2023, it was impressive to hear about the brand’s plans for the future. The Caballero range has been a welcome profit stream to our dealership, with the introduction of the new 700cc model later this year, sales will further increase. Clements Moto have always been very supportive and are an easy company to deal with. Their staff are passionate and knowledgeable about the product with a comprehensive aftersales team.”

Paul Glassup, Two Wheel Nation: “A successful dealer meeting and conference. We are super excited to start a new journey with this inspiring manufacturer. The product currently is fantastic and has a lot more to come...”
