RS Workshop Equipment has introduced the Fire Safety Stick, a fire extinguishing device that is a simple and easy way to ensure that you are prepared in the event of a fire in your workshop, home, vehicle, caravan or boat.

Fire Extinguishers have not changed much in the past 100 years. Traditionally a large, heavy cylinder can often leave a damaging mess. The Fire Safety Stick causes no damage or messy residue using a tested and proven technology, created for the space programme, that fights fires on the molecular level. By chemically interrupting the chain of combustion, Fire Safety Stick safely and effectively puts out fires without the mess, toxicity, or danger associated with a traditional extinguisher. Unlike traditional extinguishers, it can even be left in an enclosed area to continue to suppress the fire whilst the occupants have escaped to safety. Since the Fire Safety Stick’s discharge time is many times longer than that of a conventional compact extinguisher it’s ideal when used to aid a safe escape.

The Fire Safety Stick weighs far less than a conventional fire extinguisher and yet can operate for much longer. And best of all, there is no damaging, harmful, residue left behind after use.

Unlike any other conventional extinguishers, it needs no servicing or refilling, and lasts much longer typically with at least triple the life span. No danger from pressurised containers which can explode or malfunction. Store the Fire Safety Stick in an easily accessible place. Strike the activator and point the nozzle at the base of the flames to smother the fire at its core. It’s so easy, a child could do it.

Please do remember this, ALL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS are intended to deal with fires at the very early stages and to aid escape. Once a fire gets too big, then its a case of escaping and do not try to fight the fire (But do remember to leave the activated FSS to repress the fire and close the door behind you).
