July 8 2013.
Fluff Brown passed away at Millway Care Home, Wayhill, near Andover on July the 4th. He was 82.
Fluff was born at Chard in Somerset in 1930. With a life long passion for motorcycle scrambling, he first raced and worked for Cotton Motorcycles of Gloucester during the late fifties and later joined Villiers in 1966 to become the AJS competition manager.
Fluff was very much involved in the development of the AJS Stormer scrambles machines and in 1974 he purchased the AJS stock and manufacturing rights from the ailing Norton Villiers company to continue production of FB-AJS trail and scrambles bikes in Goodworth Clatford, Andover into the 1980's.
Fluff leaves behind his wife, Valerie, two sons Nick and Simon and a daughter Sandie, seven grand children and a great grandson.
Our thoughts are with the Brown family at this sad time.
