MOTODIRECT ADOPTS EXTRA COVID-19 PROTECTION MEASURES

May 29th, 2020.

As Covid-19 lockdown starts to ease in the UK, trade distributor MotoDirect has put in place a number of additional measures to protect its customers and colleagues.

To safeguard its colleagues, it has adopted additional social distancing procedures to ensure staff are two metres apart, and are wearing supportive personal protective equipment such as face shields, gloves and masks whilst on site.

In terms of the safe handling of products, MotoDirect has invested in a Disinfection Tunnel facility. This means every parcel or pallet will be sanitised prior to entering or leaving the distributor’s premises.

Its drop shipping facility supports dealers by helping them to remotely continue to trade with consumers. The order is shipped from the MotoDirect warehouse and all couriers used for this service employ a contact-free delivery service.

To further assist its trade customers and help alleviate consumer concerns with regard to trying on items in-store, MotoDirect will be sending out care packs over the next few weeks. These packs will contain anti-bacterial hand gel, disposable face nets and branded 2m floor stickers.

“Our best-in-class sales team are ready and eager to contact dealers from the 1st of June,” said a MotoDirect spokesperson. “We are fully up to speed with the government’s social distancing guidelines, and will keep you updated with our activities over the coming weeks to help you get back to being operational and driving sales into the showroom as quickly as possible.”
