ROCK CONTINUES SUPPORT OF GRASS ROOTS RACING

October 29th, 2019.

Rock Oil will again be the title sponsor of the upcoming Rock Oil Michelin Ecosse XC Winter MX Series, supported by Wulfsport, a four-round series held at Dunbar in Scotland.

The Warrington-based lubricants manufacturer has been a staunch supporter of grass roots racing since the early 1980s. The company quickly grew its motorcycle racing support portfolio and built relationships with professional racing teams such as Team Green Kawasaki back in the mid-eighties, but it has never lost sight of the value of supporting smaller teams and clubs.

“Over the years, Rock has supported teams at the very top levels of competition,” said Rock’s marketing manager Russell Bower. “We have worked in conjunction just about all the major manufacturers such as Yamaha, Ducati, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki and Triumph. But, the very foundation of our racing prowess was built in the field of off-road and it’s important for us to continue to support local clubs and individuals from youth riders to professionals.”

The Ecosse series has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years, attracting a full line up of riders across each class including riders of the calibre of Billy Mackenzie and Carlton Husband, amongst other top names. The series caters for 65cc, BW85, SW85, Rookies, Adult A, B, C, Vets, and Quads and kicks off on the 10th of November, running monthly until the 9th of February 2020.
